    HI, what if its a project drop ship or regular drop PO that was created, received, and invoiced, but it was not linked to the sales order. How does that affect inventory? Does it no longer need to be part of the sales order? Is there a way to fix this issue? Thanks!

    Would have been good to see you process an invoice outside of the schedule - just to rule the scheduling out. But I doubt the schedule is involved in the transaction count. I'd have to check the source code but it's possible that 'Save' is being pressed twice in the code. Maybe saving some initial values, and then updating the record later. I'll try and check later today. Either way, it is concerning, Acumatica pricing needs to be very clear to avoid user dissatisfaction.

    • @augforums
      @augforums 2 месяца назад

      You're right, it's not a problem with the schedule. It's getting counted twice because of the GL Batch that gets created. Then I discovered that it's even worse when a Stock Item is involved because it creates 6 ERP Transactions instead of 2. I created another video and put both videos on this dedicated page since this is such an important topic: www.augforums.com/erptransactions Feel free to share that link with all your friends 😀

    A couple other observations: On Planning 1. If you are not charging - expect a very high no show rate 2. To encourage attendance you should charge something - and have a cancellation policy/refund policy 3. Define who is eligible to attend - if it's open to everyone expect to see vendors and competitors 4. It's ok to make money On Rooms 1. If you are going to a hotel for a room - the rental is frequently inexpensive however you will be expected to guarantee a food and beverage minimum. Welcome to the land of $10 cans of soda and $ 5 cookies... 2. You generally cannot ( almost never ) bring in your own food or beverages 3. If you've never booked an event at a hotel - best to talk to someone who has 4. It is generally not practical/possible to "book a room for 30 and if I know only 3 have RSVP'd the day before I'll just cancel" as you'll likely have a contract with the hotel ( Spoiler: Even though this event might be your first rodeo - it is not the hotel's first rodeo) 5. As Tim mentions - the BEST way to get these gatherings going is in a free or low-cost conference room at someone's office - build regular attendance before expanding to a hotel. Get solid attendance at 2 or 3 such events before considering a paid hotel area. 6. One way to avoid expensive meal charges is to have everyone eat at a local restaurant. This won't be practical for large groups but we did it once or twice for 15-20. It's a lot of coordination but it can work provided it's a very short walk ( Not everyone will be comfortable walking long distances ). 7. Sometimes you can do this in a room at a conference though you typically need the blessing of the event sponsor since there are often agreements with the hotel for them not to host competitors. I've seen conferences offer free use of the rooms. On Content 1. If 10 people attend - probably 8 won't have anything to share. Be prepared. Once the conversation starts rolling you can expect at least some or all of those 8 will join in. 2. Topical content - "what's coming in version 700 of our product" does better than open-ended "share your proudest achievement" and even better when you can have an authority make the presentation 3. Have a presentation to get things rolling 4. It'll be easier if you have 3 or 4 people who know each other and can help carry the initial conversation Pitfalls 1. If you get popular you will attract vendors 2. Have a policy in place to either offer sponsorships or in-kind contributions ( they pay for lunch ) in exchange for a 15-minute pitch in front of the group 3. Be firm with the time limit. Sales people will talk for much longer if allowed

    This is great! Thanks, Tim! I’m working on trying to figure out a way to get SAML from Okta to play nice with Acumatica the last few months. Nice to see others having challenges. I wonder if you could use an attribute in lieu of the owner field in the meantime? I only suggest this because that’s what I have to do since I can’t utilize the integrated Employee’s through SSO with Okta in 2021R1. Although I’m working on a workaround for that in R2.

    • @augforums
      @augforums 2 года назад

      Ya, I don't think that an Attribute will work because it somehow detects whether the field type is the correct type. I believe it has to be an Employee or Owner record for it to work.

    Ok.. In some ways the use of GI is quite easy and simple, however there are some tasks given to us that seem impossible even though it is simple information. Example: I was given the task of creating the GI where on the client screen it was necessary to present the number contained in the General tab and if there was another number that had been overwritten in the Shipping tab it should be presented too!

    • @augforums
      @augforums 3 года назад

      Most of the time I find that the joins are what trip people up. That might be your situation.

    • @moronipimenta
      @moronipimenta 3 года назад

      @@augforums Not really, because my biggest problem lies in not knowing the possible functions/formulas that I can and should use the specific fields I need. Or how I need them. And this also happens with junctions, as in the example you gave about customers in this same video. Do you guys have any tips on where I can find a list of all the possible formulas or functions can we use?

    I'm finally catching up on missed AUGForums Live presentations. Velixo looks great, however we use JAMIS Prime, a white label product based on Acumatica with database and UI objects included that are specific to government contracting. Does Velixo only work with Acumatica tables, or is there any dynamic capability to it for handling the extended objects of Prime? I like that it can work with Generic Inquiries, though I assume that is when the DACs in the GI are already known to Velixo - is that correct?

    • @acumaticagabriel
      @acumaticagabriel 3 года назад

      I can confirm Velixo works fine for financial reporting in JAMIS Prime -- I tested it in the past with another user. The project module is completely different in JAMIS Prime so the standard project functions won't work. You can access additional tables and objects of JAMIS Prime by using the =GI() (generic inquiry) function of Velixo. Happy to give you a trial license if you want to play with Velixo, just drop me an e-mail!
